The calendar given below presents upcoming events in four categories:
- The official fib Congresses or Symposia are organised on behalf of fib by one of its National Member Groups. Meetings of fib's bodies (for ex. General Assembly, Technical Council, Commisssions or Task Groups) are as much as possible held in conjunction with these events.
- Conferences supported by fib are fib-sponsored or co-sponsored events on special subjects related to fib's fields of interest. fib is normally represented on the organising and/or scientific committees and lends general support through advertising and participation in the programme. Organised by Members or Member Groups of fib, these events may be co-sponsored by other international associations and meetings of single Task Groups or Commissions of fib may be held at this occasion.
- Conferences and events organised by fib's members under their own responsibility may be listed in this calendar on request.
- There may also be Short Courses given by fib experts on selected topics. They may be held in conjunction with the above-mentioned Congresses or Symposia, or as stand-alone events.
